NOW for Aftertreatment

National Overhaul Warranty Aftertreatment Coverage

Available on EPA 2013 and 2010 ISX15 on-highway applications and EPA 2017 & 2013 ISL/L9 transit bus applications in the United States and Canada. 

NOW Aftertreatment ONLY available with the purchase of an Ultimate Aftertreatment Service kit.

NOW Aftertreatment coverage available only with the purchase of NOW Engine or ReCon Engine Extended coverage of equal or greater duration.

NOW® Coverage starts when the vehicle is sold, or the end user takes possession of the unit. 

If the vehicle is not sold to the end user within 1 year or 500 miles of the NOW® overhaul, whichever occurs first, the engine will not qualify for NOW® coverage nor does NOW® coverage begin automatically.

Please reference the NOW Program Manual in the Warranty Administration Manual (WAM) on QSOL under procedure 506-031 for additional NOW details.

Overhauls must be performed by a qualified Cummins NOW® overhaul technician and machinist in accordance with all NOW® program practices and procedures. Repairs may be performed by any Cummins Distributor or authorized Cummins full-service Dealer.

Internal inspection at the time of overhaul may disclose the need for additional repairs. If the owner elects not to have additional repairs performed, the engine is not eligible for NOW coverage. Cummins is not responsible for failures resulting from such refusal.

In the event the Engine involved is in a used truck awaiting sale by a used truck dealer when the NOW repair is performed, coverage begins on the date of sale or of lease/rental by the truck dealer to an end user of the truck, whichever occurs first.

Used truck awaiting sale in dealer's truck inventory must be sold within 12 months or 500 miles (805 kilometers), whichever occurs first, from the date of completion of NOW repair. Trucks sold after 12 months or 500 miles (805 kilometers) are not eligible for NOW coverage and the NOW certificate will be non-binding on Cummins Inc.

NOW Component Inspection Checklist

Coverage purchase must be documented on a Cummins NOW Overhaul Warranty Certificate.  The certificate must be signed and dated by the customer.
